I’m interested in applying for the Lowe’s Preload PLUS account. Do you perform a credit check on me?

We do not perform a credit check on applicants as this is a prepaid card program. There is not a credit line associated with these cards and cards must be funded prior to being used.

We are required by federal regulations to verify the individual and business entity that is applying for the card. This requirement may result in the need to submit verification documents for approval.

What this means for you: When you open a card account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you.
